We would like to invite you to participate in, and present your work at, the upcoming Benelux System Dynamics Chapter conference on “Safety and Security in a Dynamically Complex World”. This one-day conference will take place on Friday June 29, 2012 at Delft University of Technology’s faculty of Technology Policy and Management (Jaffalaan 5, Delft, the Netherlands).
The theme of this conference is safety and security in the broadest sense, including but not limited to national safety and security risks, threats to the sustainability of public health systems and welfare states, cyber security, interrelations and dynamics of criminal-police-judicial systems, future safety and security related to water, energy, ICT, material scarcity, complex risk assessments, strategic foresight, etc. Issues could range from small but important dynamic issues to grand challenges, and be situated at the local, national, regional, and/or global level. The major criterion for acceptance is whether the work to be presented addresses at least the dynamic complexity of these issues.
To give you an idea, following talks were already proposed:
-National Safety and Security in the 21st century,
-Dynamic complexity of the Dutch judicial system,
-Priority crimes and the Dutch police: a SD approach
-Water safety,
-Future planetary water security,
-Dynamics of resource scarcity and abundance,
-Potential threats to our energy tran
