at #All4Climate 2021

under the patronage of

in collaboration with

SYDIC is proud to announce the “En-Roads: an online Climate Action Simulation” workshop, that will be held on 21-22 September 2021 on the occasion of the “#All4Climate – Italy 2021” manifestation, promoted by the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition (MiTE), and that will precede the Youth4Climate Summit and the pre-COP activities that will be held in Milan from 28.09 to 02.10

The event consists of a highly interactive role-playing game that simulates the dynamics of climate negotiation, just as they are happening in a real COP session. The results of the negotiation will be then used as input of the En-Roads simulator, made by Climate Interactive with the support of MIT Sloan School of Management and Ventana Systems. The simulator will show the temperature raise projection of the next 100 years.

Around 80 climate activists, also from the Youth4Climate association, and from the 197 member countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, are expected to participate in the event.

The expected outcome of the event is to raise awareness in the attendees about the structure that drives the dynamics of Climate Change and the difficulties that might arise from negotiations during a UN Climate Summit (like the COP26). Furthermore, such a raised awareness will help participants to develop more concrete proposals (2 minutes videos) that will be presented to the ministers who will participate in the Pre-COP26 and, potentially, at the COP26 in Glasgow.
